3rd June 1948: "fearful gales"
3 Thur. Rather cold,
fitful skies, fearful gales of wind and rain with a few gleams of cold
sunshine. The wind blew in great gusts which brought one to a standstill. To
butchers locally and to Morden to buy fish. Donald called.
