12th May 1948: got honey! 'Most unusual'
12 Wed. Rather mild,
dismal; not much wind. Got the groceries including a pound jar of honey – most
unusual. Bought fish locally. More work preparing the front garden. Made four
prints of Katie’s photograph: it is very fine.
