20 Sat. Mild, dull, but a chilly wind. Gwennie called in morning. To Merton in afternoon; bought fish, a tonic at Boots for Ciss and two roots of blue primrose. Planted the latter on the rockery with doubtful aid from Gwennie. Made up the remaining garden path with ashes: Played Sebastopol with Gwennie & Laurie: I won. Mrs Alderton and her sister called, gave them some tea. The sister Katie will rent the upstairs bedroom after Easter.
