4 Mar 1945: Sunday flying bombs

4 Sun. Cold, very dull all day; rain later. Rocket at 1.40 a.m. in SE. Warning from12.55 a.m. to 1.45 a.m.: no incident. Very loud rocket at 5.50 a.m. Warning 10.45 a.m. one flying bomb went right over from E to W making a terrible din: it exploded very distantly westward, also another not very far to E: all clear 11.0 a.m. Gwennie and Laurie called in afternoon.
