11th October 1944: loves the kids
11 Wed. Rather mild, cloudy, rain in afternoon;
windy. Got the groceries in morning. Had a crowd of children in and about the
house to-day: quite a number have got to know me: I do love them. Warning from
8.10 to 8.20 p.m.
