11th November 1943: "incredibly ugly" engine
11 Thur. Cold, dull. To Wimbledon along rail path to buy a few things. Saw new "2" type goods loco. Incredibly ugly; it is as much as can be carried on six wheels. Len called to say Doris will stay the night.
