23 April 1942: houseleeks planted

23 Thur. Very mild getting cooler, chilly wind springing up; small amount of sunshine. To Meron to buy cats' meat; also bought test* card in Wimbledon. Alan Spooner called in evening. Cut and edged the lawn and planted row of houseleeks.

*this could be 'text' - what is it? - to do with radio?
