Tues 27th Jan 1942: nine degrees of frost
Severe frost, 9 degrees (Fahrenheit) below but rising throughout the day till 38 degrees were registered at night. Light fall of snow but changing to rain but a brilliant moonlight night. Did shopping locally and visited Aunt Liza. .
