Mon 9 February 1942: half-dark, dirty brown mist
Six degrees of frost to begin the day but a few degrees above at night. Half-dark dirty brown misty day. To Wimbledon to buy rolled oats and rice. Bought lentils locally. Finished writing letter to Chas Staden. .
