Thursday 19th June 1941: windows in, roses out

Very warm; grand day but sunshine a little more hazy. The man came to put two glass panes in the living room window; now we can look at the garden through the window: Ciss came home and found the job done and was pleased. Heard first cuckoo on Wimbledon Common on 18th Wednesday. Cycled to Worcester Park in evening: very enjoyable: the roses in the gardens are coming out.
